ColorPrompt.ai ("ColorPrompt," "we," "us," or "our") is a product owned and operated by Backpack Works LLC.

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use https://www.colorprompt.ai (the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the Service.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We may collect the following information when you create an account or use the Service:

  • Email address

  • Name (if provided)

  • Profile image (if signing in with Google)

  • Account preferences

  • Prompts and text inputs you submit

  • Generated images (output images only)

Important:

  • We do not store original source images uploaded by users.

  • Only generated output images may be stored for account history and retrieval.

1.2 Third-Party Authentication (Google Sign-In)

If you sign in using Google, we receive limited profile information from Google, such as:

  • Email address

  • Name

  • Profile image

This data is used solely to create and manage your ColorPrompt account. We do not receive or store your Google password.

1.3 Analytics & Usage Data

We use third-party analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and to improve performance:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

  • PostHog

These tools may collect:

  • Pages viewed

  • Feature usage

  • Session duration

  • Device and browser information

  • Approximate location (city or country level only)

Analytics data is aggregated or pseudonymized and is not used to identify individual users.

1.4 Billing Information

All payments are processed by Stripe.

  • Backpack Works LLC does not store credit card numbers or full billing details.

  • Stripe handles payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy.

  • We store only minimal billing metadata (e.g., customer ID, subscription status, timestamps) necessary to manage subscriptions and accounts.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service

  • Create and manage user accounts

  • Generate and store output images

  • Process subscriptions and purchases

  • Respond to customer support requests

  • Improve features, reliability, and performance

  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

3. AI & MODEL USAGE

  • Prompts and inputs are processed to generate images using AI infrastructure providers.

  • We do not use personal data to train AI models.

  • Prompts may be stored in anonymized or aggregated form for system improvement, quality assurance, and debugging.

4. DATA STORAGE & RETENTION

  • Generated output images may be stored in your account for access and history.

  • Uploaded source images are not stored after processing.

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.

  • You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.

5. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain authentication sessions

  • Remember user preferences

  • Enable analytics through GA4 and PostHog

You may disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some features of the Service may not function properly.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

  • ColorPrompt.ai is not intended for children under the age of 13.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent.

  • Users between the ages of 13 and 18 may use the Service only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

  • If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us at support@colorprompt.ai, and we will promptly delete the information.

  • This policy is designed to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

7. DATA SHARING

We may share information only with:

  • Trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, payments) strictly as required to operate the Service

  • Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process

  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell personal data.

Backpack Works LLC implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including:
